Chargers Close Out Regular Season With Loss at Prairie Fire

The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team closed its regular season Tuesday with a crosstown trip to face Knox JV, falling 65-34.
Sophomore guard Allison Westerdahl (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) hit a 3-pointer and scored a team-best nine to pace the Chargers (2-5) in addition to picking up a pair of steals. Sophomore forward Annie McKim had a Sandburg-high 12 rebounds, with half of them coming on the offensive glass. The Chargers totaled 15 offensive boards.
The Prairie Fire, who dressed several members of their varsity squad, led 18-11 after a quarter and 36-17 at halftime.
